Yesterday I was pushing the 40 units left in my insulin reservoir, and it alarmed yesterday, and I was sure I would be okay until this morning. But, I didn’t take the time to change it last night, and I don’t normally like to change my site at night because I didn’t want to test 2 hours later in the middle of the night‚ and so I wrote “change site!!” on the top of my hand as a reminder.
I don’t normally write on paper for the fear of losing the paper, and forgetting what I wrote on it, so I usually just randomly jot notes down on my hand, so I can see it in front of me all the time and it's really a reminder! :] haha.
So this morning, after I corrected for my high blood sugar of 250, (not so happy about that) I thought maybe its the insulin, maybe it went bad! Oh right! I never changed my site!!! So with 19.3 units left, I changed my site before I ate breakfast‚ and after that, my numbers were great! :] Yay for a new insulin infusion site!!!!
