Another Low...
Oh man, once again, I went to class on Tuesday morning. (Obviously) Hatha Yoga was our first class at 7:30am. (too early!) It was a great class, soo relaxing…I love the last ten minutes…we signed in, gathered our stuff, and we only had 10 minutes to get across campus and into the music building, up to the second floor, down the hall and in the class by 8:30…Jackie walks very fast, and I was trying...

3 more weeks until the semester is over. 3 days until the Honors Showcase….(yay!) 4 more hours to finish this essay. ohhh man. that list could keep running…. :] it’s okay though, i’ll get all of this done…..i will, i will!

Thank you Kerri, I too, am running out of original thoughts this month for the NaBloPoMo. oh man, here goes. If anyone has any other memes, please email them to me.
How long have you been blogging? I originally started Curemoll on Xanga on March 22, 2004. It’s been over 3 years! (woahh)
What inspired you to start a blog?
I was inspired to start blogging because I had seen some blogs on diabetes...

Leftovers from Thanksgiving…always amazing.
Blood sugars? not so much.
I know I still haven’t updated from Washington, D.C. and Thanksgiving Day‚ but give me time! I will get to it. Jackie and I have been so busy, and we havent even posted pictures yet‚ so you know we’re real busy when that happens‚ but I’ll let you know when I update it, and give the links and everything,...

"Honor" on top of "Honor"
On November 16th, the same day we received the Caring Award, we recieved the nicest compliment from the organization that we’ve worked so hard to help.
You can read all about it on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation website. To get to the article, just click here.
Thank you again to all of our friends at JDRF, this is amazing. -Mollie and Jackie
The 2007 Caring Awards
mollieandjackie:
Hey everyone! These past couple of days have been an amazing experience!!! One that we will remember forever! You see, we were both named as 2 of the 5 Most Caring Americans…and we’re still overwhelmed! This is an honor that is impossible to describe. There are no words to express how humbled we are. Let us explain…
The Caring Institute is a non-profit organization in...
Diabetics: Come Prepared and Stand Your Ground
Help educate TSA Agents. Enough is Enough! TSA must be better educated about the needs of diabetics.
Going through security yesterday afternoon in Washington, D.C., Jackie, my twin sister, was holding my orange juice, since my already big purse was terribly overfilled. As we rushed to get through security I tried to remember to tell them everything, but in the confusion, all of us forgot to take...
We're leaving...
We’re leaving for Washington, D.C. tomorrow morning!
:)
I’ll update when we all get home! :]
Packing for D.C.
Since Jackie and I didn’t have classes today, we’ve been packing for Washington, D.C., printing out business cards, getting everything ready, and just organized all the paper work to check in our flight tomorrow‚ and we’re getting really excited now! :)
Trying to Remember Everything at Once
Depending on the way you look at, remembering to bolus for breakfast, or forgetting to bolus is something I often do, and hate the consequence. Being thirsty and wanting to drink all the water in sight. Yes, I forgot to bolus for breakfast. This morning, when I ate breakfast, and tested prior to going out to the kitchen, my blood sugar tested at 153. When I remembered to test and it had been...
55 on a Friday
Sounds like a country song, doesn’t it? :]
I don’t know if this could be a song
but 55 was definately not a good thing this morning
My blood sugar, that is.
Jackie once again, woke me up out of a sound sleep at 9:00 this morning. She’s my alarm clock :] Hehe. Nineteen minutes later, she came back in the room to make sure I was up and had tested my blood sugar. Starring from...
Ugh
I stayed home from class today. I was miserable last night with a huge pounding headache that wasn’t getting any better, and really high blood sugars. As a result, I drank a ton of water, and ended up sleeping through all my classes until I woke up at 1:45. It’s amazing that this morning, my mom was testing my blood sugar (apparently, i slept through the whole thing) and my numbers...
Word In Your Hand, Week 5
I thought I would post this banner, from the Week 5 Word In Your Hand Project. I thought it was pretty powerful how people’s different opinions of their diabetes was featured this week. :]
Restaurant Dilemma
Tonight at dinner, we went to a Chinese Restaurant, and they took our drink order…diet coke with lime please! And then they bring out those crunchy noodles‚ with the sweet and sour sauce? You know, those. THOSE!
I couldn’t help but notice the diabetic friendly soda drink that i had just ordered was right next the oh so sweet sauce that is not in my best interest. I tried it, ate one...
Word In Your Hand
So last night, I took a picture for the TuDiabetes Word In Your Hand Project.
Since November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and November 14th is World Diabetes Day, I think this project is perfect for bringing more awareness to this disease.
So I posted my picture last night on tudiabetes and thought I would put it on my blog too, telling you how I would describe diabetes. And I’m smiling,...
Lows After Breakfast
Keeping my blood sugars in mind, today was a not so good diabetic day.
When I woke up early enough to get ready for my class, 6:29, my blood sugar was 165 mg/dl. That was alright, I bolused before I ate and I thought I’d be okay. Class started and 8:30 and after 25 minutes of taking notes, my hand writing went from neat to a big sloppy mess of words. I don’t even know if i can...
1st Attempt for A1c Test
This morning started by Jackie telling me repeatedly to wake up.
After about 20 minutes, I had enough strength to get my tester and test my blood sugar. 56. Oh, great.
I called my mom upstairs.
(I seem to call people when I’m low and tell them my number..this happens a lot.)
Any way, I called Mom and told her my number.
Do you have some juice by your bed?
I said, “yes, but what about...
