Thinking Blogger Award
Well, thanks to the amazing Amy Mercer, a couple of weeks ago, I recieved an email that i had been awarded the “Thinking Blogger Award.” Basically, its where you select five bloggers who make you think and present the Thinking Blogger Award. I think it’s a great way to feature bloggers in this way, and so I’ll include my 5. Like Amy, my focus is blogs about diseases.
1. Allison, whose blog is called, Lemonade Life, writes about her life with diabetes. I met Allison in Washington, D.C. many many years ago at an event with JDRF. I love reading her blog, there is always something to learn, and she is just an awesome person!!
2. Six Until Me, is a blog about living with diabetes. Kerri Morrone’s blog is always a joy to read, every entry is so interesting, and funny, and it’s updated pretty much every day. Her blog is pretty well known, (as it should be) it definately deserves to be on this list!
3. curejratac, is my really good friend, Taylor Cox, whose blog is about her life with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is truly an inspiration, and as she says on her page, “I make it my goal to help stop diminishing the hopes and dreams of so many kids who suffer from JRA.”
4. Diabolic, is a blog written by Rob, who is 23 and has had diabetes since he was 3, and writes about his life with Type 1 Diabetes. Rob’s blog includes many links to articles, and research that is always worth reading.
5. Diabetes Mine, is a blog written by Amy Tenderich, who has had diabetes since 2003, and who ”started this blog as a place to sort out and share some “diabetes smarts” (pardon the pun) –– a gold mine of informational nuggets, if you will…” I love reading her blog, theres always something to learn.
So now, it’s your turn:
This is a tagged-only meme. You must be tagged by someone in order to participate.
If any of the above bloggers choose to participate, they should:
1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make them link.
2. Email them to let them know they have been selected.
3. Link to my post so your readers can find the origin of your award.
4. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
The Thinking Blog.
